Secondary Dwelling: Kitchen Complete
The secondary dwelling kitchen is officially done, and we're obsessed!

This space came together so beautifully. We went with a concrete island and splashbacks from Set in Steel in classic grey with a trowel finish. That trowel finish was the game-changer - it gives the concrete so much movement and texture. It's not flat or sterile; it's got character and depth, and honestly, it's become one of our favorite finishes in the build.
The joinery is New Age Veneer in Toorak colour, which brings warmth against the cool grey of the concrete. That contrast is perfect. The warmth of the timber tones softens what could otherwise feel cold, and together they create this really balanced, sophisticated look.
We loved this combination so much that we're doing the same concrete and joinery in the primary dwelling kitchen for guests too. It's a finish we're really proud of!
