Road Cut with Small Setback

March 2025

This week has been a busy one as we continue to push forward with the build. We’re thrilled to report that the road cut is almost complete—it’s been a big job, and seeing it come together is a testament to the hard work of the team.

This step brings us closer to laying the foundation for what’s to come, and we’re excited to see the shape of the project really start to emerge. But just when we thought we were cruising along, Mother Nature threw us a curveball: we’ve hit rock. And not just a little bit of rock—a solid layer that’s put a temporary pause on our progress. It’s all part of working with the land down here on the South Coast, where the terrain keeps us on our toes.

Our current excavator has been a champ, but this rock is proving too tough for its standard setup. After assessing the situation, we’ve realized we need to bring in some extra muscle—the machinery we’ve been using just isn’t equipped to break through this stubborn layer. To tackle this rocky roadblock, we’re bringing in a hammer attachment for the excavator. This bad boy is designed to smash through hard surfaces like the one we’re dealing with, and it’ll help us get back on track. We’re organizing to have it on-site soon, and once it’s here, we’ll be hammering away at that rock in no time.

Every build has its challenges, and hitting rock is just one of those moments that reminds us to adapt and keep moving forward. We’re still on course, and with the hammer attachment on the way, we’re confident we’ll power through this phase.

Stay tuned for next week’s update—hopefully with some rock-breaking action shots to share! Thanks for following along with our journey. If you’ve got any questions about the build or want to chat about what’s coming next, feel free to reach out. We’re excited to keep bringing this vision to life, one step (and one rock) at a time!
