The Day Our Dream Got Real: Pouring Our Slab

Watching the formwork go up was very cool, but seeing that first concrete pour? That's when it really hit us—this is actually happening. We rocked up with our cameras ready, filming everything. Yeah, it's just grey concrete to most people, but to us it was everything.

The hardest part was having to wait overnight before we could step on it. But coming back the next day and finally standing on our slab was unforgettable. It was surreal walking around and mapping it all out in our heads— kitchen here, dining table there, lounge in that corner—picturing all the little everyday moments that would fill this space.
